When we think of a 1940 Ford, performance, drive-ability, comfort, and predictability typically don’t come to mind. After completing this frame off restoration we found ourselves in awe of this beauty while testing and tuning.

The first time we saw the 40 is when it was delivered to us on a trailer, disassembled in hundreds of pieces. Our team inventoried the parts and began the long journey to make it whole again.

The performance comes from a 1945 59A block bored 60 over bringing it to 248 cubic inches. Aftermarket Offenhauser aluminum heads and a three deuce carburetor attached to a manual 3 speed make for plenty of power in this 2970 pounder. The suicide doors, new seats and roomy interior go hand in hand with the performance creating an exceptional driving experience.
